Job Title: Sales Representative
Department: Sales
Status: Full Time, Exempt
Reports To: Sales Manager

Summary:

The sales representative will implement sales initiatives, includes contacting dealer clients, enhancing dealer relationships, developing new business and retaining of existing business to ensure achievement of maximum dollar sales volume in the most profitable way possible. Monitor all local competition and recommend competitive strategies to the Sales Manager. Research market opportunities and support scheduled promotional activities designed to encourage dealer/auction participation, brand recognition and bottom line measurable results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Provide prompt and courteous service both on the phone and in person
•    Represents auction with utmost professionalism through various social events
•    Delivers sales presentations, utilizing sales tools and applications
•    Maintain client contacts through auction software
•    Be familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of customer service
•    Build consistent rapport with current customers and prospects
•    Coordinate assignments and transportation of vehicles to the auction
•    Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers to ensure success of weekly auction sales
•    Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance. 
•    Other duties as assigned

Job Title: Auction Driver
Department: Transportation
Status: Non-exempt, Part -Time
Reports To: Transportation Assistant

Summary:

Safely transport vehicles to and from numerous dealerships throughout the Memphis area and Memphis Auto Auction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Drive clients’ vehicles safely to and from auction
•    Drive vehicles through auction bay during sale day
•    Verify and document any physical damage prior to entering a vehicle
•    Add fuel to vehicle when needed
•    Assist lot crew in maneuvering vehicles in proper location for sale day

Qualifications/Requirements:

•    Must have a valid driver’s license
•    Must be a minimum of 21 years old
•    Ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions
•    Must have a clean driving record
•    Must know how to utilize jumper cables
•    Successfully pass drug screen and background investigation

Job Title:  Detailer
Department:  Detail Shop
Status:  Non-Exempt, Full Time
Reports to:  Detail Supervisor

Summary:

Position is expected to quickly, efficiently and properly clean various vehicles as scheduled to prepare units for sale day to the customer’s expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Remove debris from vehicle interiors
•    Pressure wash exteriors and engines, following proper procedures as instructed to ensure vehicle does not sustain impairment to the runability
•    Assess any additional steps on an individual vehicle basis that may be necessary to bring vehicle up to proper standards as set forth by each client
•    Vacuum/blow out dirt and debris from vehicle(s)
•    Scrub/polish interior and exterior as needed
•    Buff exteriors, dress tires, and clean windows as needed
•    Perform line-washes, using portable pressure washer, on select vehicles on sale-day and periodically on A-1 Motors’ inventory
•    Clean auction arena prior to sale, using pressure washers, scrub brushes, and automatic floor cleaner to prepare area for customer attendance
•    Perform any additional duties as instructed by Detail Supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:

•    Self-motivated and able to work independently
•    Valid drivers license
•    Ability to listen and take direction
•    Successfully pass a drug screen and background investigation

Education/Training/Experience:

•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Previous detail experience a plus but not required
•    Experience using automatic buffing equipment a plus but not required

Job Title: Body Shop Prepper
Department: Memphis Auto Auction
Status: Non-exempt
Reports To: Mechanic Supervisor
Location: Body Shop

Summary:
This position assists automobile body painters by preparing surfaces of vehicles for repainting and by polishing repainted vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Wash vehicles to remove dirt, oil, grease and debris from painted surfaces.
•    Locate and remove imperfections on panels prior to painting. 
•    Treat scratched and chipped areas with plastic or liquid filler. 
•    Inspect panels to be painted as well as adjacent panels for body repair defects and other damage and notify manager if
necessary.
•    Notify supervisor of unacceptable repairs and return vehicle to body technician.
•    Smooth unmasked surfaces with sandpaper removing gloss from previous coats of paint.  Sand rough spots.
•    Remove and safely store all necessary moldings, emblems and door handles prior to priming or refinishing.
•    Perform housekeeping duties.
 
Education/Training/Experience:
•    High school diploma or equivalent.
•    1 + years of body shop and/or prepping experience preferred.
•    Will train the right candidate.

Job Title: Human Resources Representative
Department: Human Resources for Corporate Services
Status: Non-exempt
Reports To: HR Director

Summary:
The Human Resources Representative is responsible for providing administrative support for a variety of Human Resources functions including recruiting, training, employee relations and other projects that drive our business forward.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Act as liaison between HR Director and employees to facilitate communication and help resolve non-complex issues
•    Monitor and track work related injuries
•    Strong recruitment of non-exempt positions to include screening, interviewing and job placement
•    Assist in coordination of company wide activities to include monthly employee meetings, training and holiday soirees
•    Processes new hire paperwork  and ensures personnel files are compliant with company, state and federal regulations
•    Assists management with appropriate resolution of employee relations issues such as corrective action and coaching opportunities
•    Preparation and maintenance of various HR related reports and records
•    Maintain affirmative action requirements and EEO reporting
•    Take initiative to stay current on HR trends and laws
•    Performing other various administrative functions as required

Qualifications/Requirements:
•    2+ years of HR generalist experience
•    Knowledge and experience of processing new hire paperwork, HRIS usage and affirmative action requirements
•    Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and exercise sound judgment
•    Proficient in MS Office
•    Experience working with confidential information
•    Excellent interpersonal skills
